Ana Fernández Valbuena
(Madrid, 1962) She is a teacher, a playwright and a theatre researcher with a PH Doctorate in Italian Contemporary Theatre, and many publications on Theatre Theory. Since 2002 she teaches Playwright at the Royal Drama School in Madrid (RESAD). She has run different international projects between Spain, Cuba (Festival Internacional de Danza), Italy (Piccolo Teatro di Milano), Morocco (Théâtre National Rabat) and Norway, and she has been the president of the European network of Drama Schools “École des Écoles”. Some of her plays have been translated and performed abroad. Her recent theatre awards: Eurodram Honour List for Mery Monark (2015), selected as well to be read in the WPI Conference in Cape Town (July, 2015); International Awarding of Theatre Journalism “Carlos Porto” (Lisbon, 2012); Finalist in the Spanish Theatre Awards “Premios Max” for the adaptation of The Art of Comedy, by Eduardo De Filippo (2010). In 2010 she received as well the CAM grant for new plays, to write Migraciones internas, premiered in Italy (Piccolo Teatro di Milano).

José Manuel Mora
(Seville, 1978) He was graduated in Dramaturgy and Stage direction by the Royal Drama School (Madrid, 2006) and four years later finished his phd as dramaturge in DasArts (Máster of Theatre/ Amsterdam School of Arts). He works as author, dramaturge, literary collaborator of El Cultural (cultural magazine from the Spanish newspaper El Mundo) and teaching dramaturgy in ESADCyL (Performing Arts School of Castile and León, Spain). As a playwright, Mora attended several international workshops organised by Centro Andaluz de Teatro, which were lead by playwrights like Rodrigo Garcia, Michel Azama, Gerardjan Rijnders, Martin Crimpt, David Harrower, Rafael Spregelburd, Juan Mayorga and Sarah Kane. His play Me muero de amor was presented as a dramatic reading in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs during his participation in the 19th International Residency for Playwrights (Royal Court Theatre, London, 2006). His main works include award-winning plays like Cancro (National Award for Young Writers, Marques de Bradomín, Madrid, 2003); Los Cuerpos Perdidos (Premio SGAE de Teatro 2009, premiered in X Festival de Dramaturgia Europea, Santiago de Chile and Szenische Lesung in Avignon off 2011); and Mi alma en otra parte (Berliner Stückemarkt 2008, published in the magazine Theater der Zeit and premiered by the National Theatre in Madrid, 2011). His plays has been translated into different languages and premiered around the world. Currently he lives between Madrid and Buenos Aires, he is setting up the project DRAFT_INN (space for the risk in the performing arts) in Madrid and in his spare time studies German, walks, reads the Russian classics, talks to Paolo (his dog, a cocker spaniel) and makes his own living through the precarious balance that gives him theatre.

"CATORCE KILÓMETROS" BY JOSÉ MANUEL MORA

Kate Pendry
(London, 1965) actress and playwright, she trained in Mountview Theatre School, and moved to Oslo in 1995. Since then, she has written forty pieces for theatre, many of them performed in Europe, in a controversial social engagement and black humour. She has given workshops of acting and script development in Oslo, and other countries. She has also produced a series of interactive electronic works, in particular Sense&less, which used artificial intelligence and virtual reality (awarded Honoray Mention at the Prix Ars Electronica, 1996). Other pieces have been presented in the Oslo National Theatre and abroad (Rotterdam, Istanbul). Her play Pornography was nominated for the Ibsen Prize 2009, and her dark drama for teens Erasmus Tyrannus Rex won the Ibsen Prize (2010). Sex in the War Zone, her piece on war tourism in the Balkans, was awarded the National Performing Arts Hub Theatre Prize (2002); the play performed across Europe, including the Museum of Modern Art in Stockholm. She is currently a playwright in residence at the Dramatikkens Hus. In 2014 she premiered 5 new pieces including Point of Pain, about the events of 22nd July, which was premiered at the Red Zone freedom of Beirut. It has also been performed at the National Museum in Oslo. Soft eyes is a rapid response text to the Syrian refugee crisis, performed at the SPKRBOX hiphop/slam Festival and the NONSTOP International Theatre Festival.
